About Us

Twinkle star Home-based Childcare Ltd believes children  are  precious . Our first responsibility is to nurture them at home in a safe and healthy environment.

Twinkle Star believes that it is important to develop a trusting relationship between your child, your home educator and parents.

We value open communication. In order to develop reciprocal relationships, we encourage all parties to make suggestions, to offer advice, and to be part of their child's early childhood education.

Children are amazing explorers, eager to learn, and experience what life holds for them. Home educators, our visiting coordinators, parents, and whanau are all important partners in the children's education. Together we can realise their hopes and dreams.

We aim to empower every child with real life skills, develop their confidence, social interactions and support their emotional well-being. We encourage each child’s individuality, and we value their ability to learn from and alongside others.

Aotearoa is a culturally diverse country. It is our belief that all children are treated with dignity and respect regardless of their gender, ability, ethnicity, and socio-economic environment.

Our dedicated and enthusiastic home educators along with our qualified and experienced visiting coordinators will work with each child, parent and whanau to develop a programme that is responsive to the child's interests, strengths, needs, and culture.

We believe that parents are the first educators of their child. We respect whanau values and decisions regarding childcare and education. Socio cultural theories and learning outcomes including relationships with people places and things are crucial for brain development in the first two years of life.

The environment has a powerful impact on a child, which is why it is important to provide a safe, stimulating and healthy environment for optimal learning and growth. Our curriculum includes music, dance, art, stories, maths, science, nature, literacy, numeracy and a whole lot of fun.
